Vintage Style Icon: Audrey Hepburn

I love vintage fashion and Audrey Hepburn is on of my biggest style icons.  She is still a major fashion icon and she is often referred to as being a great example of the classy and sophisticated woman.

How to Translate Audrey's Style into the 21st Century:
The Little Black Dress- The LBD is something that Audrey Hepburn is most known for.  She wore little black dresses in both Breakfast at Tiffany's and Sabrina, but the dress by Hubert de Givenchy worn in Breakfast at Tiffany's is by far the most well-known and recognizable.

Today, the little black dress is considered a staple item for many women.  They can be very versatile depending on the dress and work for many occasions.

This take uses a pencil dress with a blazer, pumps, a small handbag and polka-dotted scarf.  Black pencil dresses are good for church and professional or semi-formal occasions.

This outfit is better for special occasions, church and formal events.  The dress has a pleated, full skirt and is cut in the princess style.

Shoes: Audrey Hepburn is often pictured wearing kitten heels or simple black flats.

Ballet flats are still a basic item .

Kitten heels are still popular and more comfortable than higher heels.
